I had a new pharmacist on October 1, 2008. He said he made so mush money on my AIDS meds that he would only xcharge me his cost for AMBIEN,. He recently dismissed me freom care because due to a misunderstanding he thought i was going to pay him the cost of the Anbein , which was tewn dollars. On my return trip to that pharmacy he was rude, would not talk to me and said he would never fill my scrips again. What a doctor jekyll and hyde. Is it illegal to give away Ambien even if it is to a customer. I am on Medi cal and can not afford any of tjhese drugs. HE HUNG ME OUT TO DRY
HIS PHARMACY IS rexpharm on 30th street I think it is the corner of howard.

Hello, this is ILLEGAL. If your pharmacist is really doing this, he should be arrested. You have to have a prescription for Ambien, which is a Class IV drug, making it a controlled substance. You can't give it away without a prescription.

I disagree with answer #1 If you have an Rx, your pharmacist can give you the medicine. However I would talk to the manager of the Pharmacy and explain what happened. (to clarify my answer it is his money and he can do what he wants with it.) Sounds to me like you misunderstood his intentions. All he wanted was for you to pay $10 dollars for your meds. You owe him the money, so pay up.

He's got something going on that is not quite right. I'd go to another pharmacy where the own has some morals!

It is illegal if it wasn't prescribed to the person he is giving it to. I'd report him.
