If you can swallow one of those big calcium horse pills and not choke to death, you could swallow a bullet. It will just pass to the other end and maybe come out with a "plunk". Of course there's always lead poisoning to wonder about.

Bullets kill you because of the speed it comes out of the gun. A bullet itself is not deadly, unless it is made out of a poisonous metal. In which case, anything made from that metal would kill you, not just the bullet.

So, a bullet isn't designed to kill you unless it's shot from a gun, a bullet by itself is harmless to you.

Swallowing a bullet made from lead etc would have the same effect on you that swallowing something different made from lead would have.

My brother actually swallowed a 22 caliber bullet when we were little. My mom freaked out and called the Dr. She was told not to worry as it would pass. I remember her mashing up his you know what until she found it about 2 or 3 days later. Your question made me smile. Thanks!

It depends on the type of bullet. If it was a lead bullet, then you would get lead poisoning and maybe die. Lead is extremely poisonous.

no, the lead can't be absorbed by your body in that form, it would have to be in salt form, like in paint.

It will just pass straight through and out the usual way.

However, I wouldn.t make lead pellets a part of my usual diet!

No. It'll pass through your system the way anything else would. I wouldn't suggest trying it though...
